if you still have the photoshop file you should try playing with the color levels to make the two match. I spend extra time to try to find cars of the same color to avoid that. yous is also fuckin hilarious so there ya go!

well I got the cooling fan, fan clutch and pulley out and replaced it with the electric kit. On top of the fan being cracked and the clutch being junk I have an electrical issue too either a sensor or something like that. so i have it wired like this (note the light switch) I need to do some testing. It shouldn’t be a big deal, I just have to go do it. I think the air ride distributor box leaks and thats next on my list. Um The clutch slips at high RPMs so I think that will follow. I’m trying to decide if I should just save $ and get an S4 avant or put the money into the allroad and make it an S6 Allroad. I’m about $5k into this car purchase, tires, a shop visit and parts. theres an oil leak that I can;t do but its not bad, just something thats there. its like 1/2 quart per month

I finally got the very stubborn lateral link bolt out of my Subaru. Now I just need to do disassemble the other side and out it all back together.

Oh, and I procrastinated on putting a heli-coil in the timing belt idler pulley hole that I stripped. I’m scared to death to tackle that...

that sounds like a bunch of fun. I enjoy the sense of accomplishment but I also enjoyed the days of not having to do any of that

i saw an impreza a bit like yours today. The rear end was rotted to shit but the thing sounded amazing.

Shew, sounds like you’re going to be a skilled Audi mechanic, at the very least. The light switch is a bit of creative engineering, too! It’s a....ahem... touch of home.

Overall, doesn’t sound too bad, but I definitely understand the frustration.
